Tauberbischofsheim is small town near Wurtzburg, Baden Wurttembourg, and is famous for being the home of fencing in Germany, thanks to the innovation of Emil Beck, 40 years ago.

This is a picturesque part of Germany.  The town is small, 13000 inhabitants, and the fencing centre is famous in the town, indeed, is signposted everywhere.

Fencers should ideally book their own flights (we can arrange for U18s to be accompanied).  There are very cheap flights available to Frankfurt, slightly dearer to Stuttgart.  We will arrange transfers, but probably only one per day.  You have the option to take the train to Tauber from the airport, and we can collect from the station.  Alternatively it is a reasonable drive from UK in one day, or very comfortable with one overnight stop.

The camp will be 6 nights, with half a day off to spend in the surrounding country, perhaps a trip to Rothenburg.  Rooms are large and comfortable, with three single beds, en suite and wifi.  If you want a twin, it will be a little more expensive (see booking form).

There is an indoor swimming pool in the centre, plus sauna, and a large, well-equipped gym.  Outside there is a running track and football field.

We will arrange evening entertainment when we are not fencing, or a short walk into town.
