2008 Summer Training Camp—

8-15 August, Tata, Hungary

Haverstock and London Thames Fencing Clubs are pleased to announce….

It's back!  It's better, it's bigger, and this time it's in Budapest!!

THE summer camp returns, with one of the world's top epee coaches, German National Epee Coach, Walter Steegmueller (back by popular demand).  Also, our much loved Hungarian friend, Gabor Bognar, top Hungarian coach for many years.  And, Alex Agrenich, star of Miller-Hallett, coach to many top fencers at HFC.

We are also planning to introduce another international coach, Ferenc Diera, Hungarian National U20 coach who has worked at Honved for 25 years.  We are asking him to bring Hungarian U20s and pentathletes to join us for training.

Just for this year, we have to excuse Peter Barrett whose partner is having a baby in August.

Other coaches (tbc) to include John (the Chairman) Ince, Tamas Kovacs (former Hungarian U20 international of Honved and LTFC), and Andy (Pavski) Pavaday, of HFC.

Top GB fencer, Jon Willis joins us for training and fencing (and  bit of team organising no doubt!).

This year we stay in a superb venue, the Olympic training centre at Tata, just outside Budapest.  The accommodation is in comfortable, en-suite twin rooms (upgraded suites are available) with tv, internet & phone.  Good quality food is served on site, full board is included (breakfast on day off).  For the last night, we will travel into the mountains to a hillside restaurant with live music and food.
